Improving low vision:
RevitalVision improves low vision, by improving brain visual processing.
RevitalVision's perceptual learning program enables the brain to better process blurred images into sharper ones. Improved image processing compensate for some blurred image, transferred from the retina. Low vision is improved despite the absence of any anatomical improvement or changes during the course of the disease.
What is low vision?
Low vision is defined as a visual impairment which cannot be corrected by standard eyeglasses, contact lenses, medicine or surgery. Low vision interferes with the ability to perform everyday activities.
Low vision can result from trauma or different eye diseases such as: Diabetes, Cataract, Glaucoma, AMD, Nystagmus, Keratoconus, Retinitis Pigmentosa and more..
People with low vision can improve their quality of life through low vision treatment (vision rehabilitation services). These services teaches them how to use their remaining vision more effectively. Using a variety of visual and adaptive aids can improve their situation and help them regain and keep their independence.
Low vision therapy with RevitalVision
The RevitalVision program is a clinically proven, non-surgical and risk-free therapy that enhances the visual processing in the brain and increases visual acuity and vision quality. It is the only existing treatment for adults having Lazy Eye approved by the United States FDA. The treatment efficacy was also tested and approved for cases of low myopia, early presbyopia and patients after cataract and refractive surgery. The treatment was tested on several low vision eye pathologies such as: AMD, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Post Intrastromal Corneal Ring and people with Nystagmus and bilateral amblyopia.
Low vision therapy results
Most patients who suffer from low vision and have completed the program, achieved significant improvement of their vision and in their quality of life, for example:
- Reading subtitles on TV and reading signs in the street
- Recognizing faces from distance
- Decrease glare and improved night vision
- Safer driving and strolling at night
The average improvement experienced is more than 2 lines on the eye chart and 100% in contrast sensitivity.
The Science behind RevitalVision
It is possible to enhance the brain processing by effective visual stimulation of the neurons responsible for vision in the primary visual cortex, long after the critical period. RevitalVision neural training is clinically and scientifically proven and received the FDA's approval (for Amblyopia therapy ), unlike eye exercise programs that focus on relaxing eye muscles.
During training sessions, a series of visual tasks and repetitive images train the brain to improve visual processing. RevitalVision analyzes performance and continuously adjusts the individually customized training sessions to substantially improve vision.
Train Your Brain to See Better
RevitalVision trains your brain to see better without additional surgery, enhancement, drugs or side-effects.
About the program:
- 40 training sessions - completed at home on a computer
- 30 minute on average - for each training session
- Customized - to your pace and visual ability
- Professionally monitored - by your eye care specialist
Consult with us if you feel that you are a suitable candidate for RevitalVision Low Vision Therapy program. We will send you an exam form to be filled out by your ophthalmologist or by a certified optometrist. Based on the exam data, we will be able to determine your suitability for the program
Will it work for me?
You may be suitable for the program if your best corrected vision (with optical aid) is between 6/9- 6/60 (20/30- 20/200). You should consult with your eye doctor to find out if you are suitable candidate.
Does the program involve surgery or medications?
No, RevitalVision does not require any surgery or prescriptive medication.
How much will my vision improve?
The average improvement is more than 2 lines on the eye chart, and 100% in contrast sensitivity. This means that what you could read from 10 meters before the program, you would be able to read from a distance of 17 meters after the program. However, the amount of improvement varies between individuals.
How long do the results last?
Just like learning to walk, riding a bicycle and learning to swim have long lasting effects, so does RevitalVision. You should note that while the improved neural-vision skill is long lasting, RevitalVision has no effect on the progression of your eye disease.
Is it safe?
Yes, Prior to being released for commercial use, RevitalVision was researched and tested for over 20 years. There are no known risks, side effects or complications associated with the program.
"I was born with low vision, and I suffer from amblyopia and Nystagmus in both eyes. After 15 sessions, I was able to read the subtitles on TV for the first time in my life, and at the end of the treatment my vision has improved significantly!"
